~Holiday Trip to Singapore~Part 1~

I enjoyed my holiday with my lovely family,

we had a wonderful trip to Singapore.

We went to Singapore for 3days 2 nights,

and we chose to stay in Hotel 81,

although some of my friends said that it's not good,

but for me,

it can be considered as a cheap and clean hotel,

Due to peak season,

the branch of Hotel 81 in China Town has already fully booked,

so we can only choose to stay in Little India,

but our rooms was quite clean.

This is the overview of Hotel 81 Lobby~^^

p/s: A little drawback of this hotel is its space is really small,

just like apartment in Hong Kong~=p

After putting down our luggage,

we went to find our relatives who stay in Singapore and together we enjoyed our dinner.

Second day,

Our first destination was Haw Par Villa~^^

A place I used to visit in 20 years ago~

miss it so much~

But I hate the mosquitoes around there~  

This place doesn't require you need to pay admission fee,

but the parking fee costs S$5~

A largest King Kong with my cutie brother~^^

p/s: My dad loves this stone so much~

The chinese name of Haw Par Villa~

Second destination was Jurong Bird Park.

The world largest bird park that you should visit when you come Singapore~

Admission ticket per person: S$18 (Adult)

Admission ticket per person: S$12 (Child)

The ticket costs cost S$26, it includes unlimited animals feed and a train trip for you to visit around the bird park.

This is the train that will bring you go around the bird park~

each trip costs S$5~

Third destination was Singapore Casino~

For foreign visitor, the admission to casino is FOC (free of charge),

but Singaporeans need pay S$100 for admission~

Our topic: Factors determining consumers' purchasing behavior

towards pirated media in Malaysia

p/s: the topic looks like no related to our course,right? hehe=p

Anyway,

Our presentation considers good

since teacher didn't ask many question at that time,

just reminded us to put the arrow on the proposed conceptual framework diagram.

Our tutor,

Mr.Krishna is a good teacher,

kind, helpful, patient and tender~^^

The first debate in my life,

we need to argue over the topics given by teacher,

there are 2 debates for us in 1 day,

1st round: prescriptive approach to the issues of corporate governance

is a better approach compare to non-prescriptive approach.

Actually prescriptive approach is mostly referred to SOX (Sarbanes Oxley Act)

and non-prescriptive approaches are mostly referred to UKCC and MCCG.

Our team supported that prescriptive approach is better approach in CG.

and the result not bad^^

can consider as tie~

2nd round: Minority shareholders activism is effective in advancing

shareholders interest and instituting sound corporate governance in Malaysia.

Different competitors,

this group can be consider as best team in our class's debate,

since we are the against team,

this topic is not good for us,

it's hard to find evidence to prove that minority shareholders is ineffective in CG,

although in fact,

this is the real case.

But there is impossible to find a company's annual report stated that it always

neglected minority shareholders in a meeting.

But luckily all of our group members had actively participated in this debate,

although we are not satisfied for the result,

at least we tried our best~^^

Lastly,

I trust that

we will win them in future~^^
